Detlas - Authentic Intelligence "Submerged / Emerging"

Submerged / Emerging is the song that launched the Detlas collaboration. It began to meet a composer’s challenge in the OPIA community on Discord, focused on inspiring artists to work together to create something bigger and beyond themselves. This collaboration challenge led us both on a wonderful musical journey that built on our strengths and stretched each of us in new ways musically. This interplay of styles paints a sonic portrait of personal struggle. Beginning submerged in a troubled state, the piece depicts the archetypal battle to resurface – for air, for hope, for anything – only to slip and succumb again before finally rising and emerging changed.
