Authentic Intelligence - 2026

As DETLAS' landmark album, Authentic Intelligence is our collaborative vision made real, a collection of disparate genres illustrating the synthesis of our creative talents and musical explorations. Authentic Intelligence is not only a commentary on the growing reliance of artificial intelligence in the creation of music and other art forms, but a story of where musical journey can go when powered by the human spirit. We are not afraid to use our digital tools, but we know that we are the masters in control.  The album cover is a digital manipulation of a real sculpture, Overflow, by Jaume Plensa. It is on permanent display at the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden in New Orleans City Park. The evocative sculpture inspired us to use its haunting form to evoke the co-existence of the physical, mental, technological, and spiritual selves at the heart of human authentic intelligence.
